Thought I'd stick in a wee update from the (slightly messy..) studio as it's been a while - I've mostly been working on the technicalities of working with paper, as it's new to me but I've produced these pieces, related to the work below. Im just not sure what to do with them; whether I should make lots and try to find a place to exhibit them enmass, or frame them individually and try craft fairs?
I think you should put it enmass and maybe try a few individually framed at craft fairs, but I like them together :) (Oh I hope you had a good Birthday, sorry for not asking about it earlier!)
Originally trained in textile design, I am interested in working between the boundaries of art and design to create objects that are thought provoking and relevant, exploring universal themes such as eating, time, community and communication. I am currently designer in residence at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design and having gone through the transition of working in a full busy studio to working independently would appreciate any comments, interest or advice through this blog!
